World Food India 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dimitri Paterev in World Food India 2025 and reported that he discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, fertilizer and food processing. The Prime Minister said in a post on X, “World Food India was happy to meet Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dimitri Paterev in 2025. We discussed ways to strengthen our mutual support cooperation in agriculture, fertilizer and food processing.”

PM Modi wishes Vladimir Putin
PM Modi greeted President Vladimir Putin and said that he is eager to welcome him to India for the 23rd India-Russia annual summit. The Prime Minister addressed a gathering during the World Food India 2025 and emphasized that global investors – especially the food sector investors – are looking towards India with great expectations. He said, “India has a triple force of diversity, demand and scale.”
He said that India produces all types of grains, fruits and vegetables. This diversity gives the country a unique place in the global scenario. Every hundred kilometers change and its taste changes. This shows India’s rich culinary diversity. The Prime Minister emphasized that this strong domestic demand gives India a competitive lead and makes it a favorite place for investors.
He said, “India is working on an unprecedented and extraordinary scale. In the last ten years, 25 crore people have come out of poverty and are now part of the new -medium class – which is India’s most energetic and ambitious class.”
India is the world’s third largest start-up ecosystem
PM Modi emphasized that talented youth of India are doing new experiments in all fields, and the food sector is also no exception. He said, “India is now the third largest start-up ecosystem in the world, working in many start-up food and agricultural sector,” he also said that technology like AI, e-commerce, drones and apps is being included in the field, which is changing the methods of supply chain, retail and processing.

He confirmed that India provides diversity, demand and innovation – all these are the major factors that make it the most attractive place for investment. Reiterating his message from the Red Fort, the Prime Minister announced that it is the right time to invest and expand in India. The 2025 version of World Food India is being held from 25 to 28 September at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.
