During CJP’s protest against the NEET paper leak on July 20 at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, many youth suffered wounds which are difficult to heal. One name among them is Nutan Toppo of Ranchi. His right ear has been damaged. He claims that his ear was injured in police firing on the day of the movement. But till date no one has taken any notice at the administration and government level. Nutan shared her story with ETV Bharat over phone. She told why she had gone to Jantar Mantar on 20th July. What happened to him that day? How is his health now? Now what does Nutan want?
Right ear damaged by police bullet
Nutan told that she had reached Jantar Mantar alone from Gurugram to support the student movement. Meanwhile, police lathi charge started. Tear gas shells started being fired. Suddenly there was chaos. So, she ran away from Jantar Mantar and reached Rajiv Chowk. Was standing in the park located at a height there. There were many agitators. The policemen had their guns pointed towards them. During this time he suddenly felt that something had hit his ear. If a tear gas can had been used, the ear would not have been so damaged. Must be the bullet, due to which the outer part of the ear was completely damaged.
How did she reach the hospital and what happened there?
Nutan told that it was becoming difficult to stop the bleeding. During this time no policeman helped. Two friends somehow took him to the road. There was an ambulance there. From there he was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where surgery was immediately performed. The surgery lasted for about two hours. Three doctors were in OT. Dr. Luv Singh was leading. But he was discharged within 15 minutes of the surgery. By then it was night. There was no arrangement to go home. Somehow she took a cab to her home in Gurugram at 11 pm. Then on July 22, July 23 and July 24, she went to the hospital for dressing. But the doctor was not found on 24th July. Left for Ranchi by train the same day in the evening. Because there was no one there to take care.
Nutan is admitted in a private hospital in Ranchi.
After returning to Ranchi, Nutan is continuously suffering from fever. He told that when the fever did not subside, he had to be admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi on the night of July 27. There is also difficulty in breathing. MRI and X-ray have been done here. Nutan Toppo is originally a resident of Gumla district. He told that he has done PG in Political Science. Also has done graduation course in Physical Education from Bhopal. At present, working in a private company based in Gurugram. On July 20, she reached Jantar Mantar to join CJP’s Parliament march called to protest against the NEET paper leak.
What does Nutan Toppo want?
He said that the central government has accepted the demands of CJP. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. Because of this the movement was postponed. If there is another movement in the future in the interest of youth, she would like to be a part of it. He said that the government should handle the issue of youth with seriousness and seriousness, otherwise there will be movements. Strict action should be taken against the policemen who lathicharged, fired tear gas shells and fired on the students.
