Along with this, people were also made aware about HPV-DNA self-testing. A large number of people participated in the program and received information from experts about cancer prevention, early detection and healthy lifestyle.
What is HPV vaccination?
This is a vaccine to be administered to girls aged 9 to 15 years. This is an effective way to protect against human papillomavirus. Experts say that this virus can spread through skin and sexual contact. Due to this, women are at risk of cervical cancer. Both men and women are at risk of cancer of the throat, penis, vagina and vulva. Through HPV vaccine, the body’s immune system is able to work better against this virus. In this way, there is less fear of serious infection and serious diseases related to it in future.
