The promotional campaign for Vikram Sahidev and Sandhya Vasishta’s Anakapalli has gained further momentum with the launch of its theatrical trailer.
The trailer was unveiled at the Elite Cricket League Season 2 event in Visakhapatnam by the Tollywood Thunders team in front of a huge crowd. Srikanth, Thaman, Sudheer Babu, Tarun, Ashwin Babu and several others attended the event.
Vikram Sahidev is introduced as a character with qualities similar to Karna from the Mahabharata. He shares a strong bond with Tarak Ponnappa’s character, who resembles Duryodhana, while also falling deeply in love with Sandhya Vasishta’s character.
However, their friendship eventually takes a dramatic turn, leading the two close friends into a fierce battle against each other.
The story and screenplay are written by Thrinadha Rao Nakkina, with friendship, love and rivalry forming the emotional backbone of the film. Director Khagesh Tammineni has blended these emotions with action in an engaging manner.
Vikram Sahidev appears well suited to the lead role. He impresses both as a carefree youngster and in the emotional and action-packed sequences.
Tarak Ponnappa makes a strong impact with his intense screen presence as the antagonist.
Sandhya Vasishta makes her presence felt as Vikram’s love interest, while Thrinadha Rao Nakkina and Indraja deliver convincing performances.
Maaya V’s cinematography and Davzand’s powerful background score add weight to the drama.
Produced by Kandregula Naidu and Thrinadha Rao Nakkina under the Bhavya Sri Movie Makers and Nakkina Narratives banners, the film appears to have production values that suit the genre.
The trailer leaves a positive impression and successfully raises expectations for the film, which is scheduled for release on August 7.
