Two months pregnant Twisha had written to her friend, “I am trapped brother… just don’t marry me.” The family has accused the husband and in-laws of torture and demanded a second post-mortem and investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

The family has made serious allegations of mental and physical torture against the husband and in-laws. Not only this, the family is also raising questions on the police investigation and is demanding re-postmortem in AIIMS Delhi.

The last message that Twisha Sharma sent to her friend Meenakshi on Instagram has made the whole matter mysterious. Twisha wrote, “I am trapped brother. Just don’t get trapped. Can’t talk much. I will call when the right time comes.” To this her friend replied, “I am worried for you, Tuktuk. I love you very much. I am with you.” However, Twisha’s call to the friend never came after the message. The very next day Twisha was found dead in her Bhopal home.

31 year old Twisha Sharma was a former Miss Pune. She was also very active on social media. His brother Harshit Sharma is a Major in the Indian Army. If reports are to be believed, Twisha was also a model and actress. Twisha was a resident of Noida and was married to Bhopal lawyer Samarth Singh in December 2025. Both of them met through a dating app in 2024. The family claims that Twisha wanted to leave Bhopal and come back to Noida for some time. According to reports, Twisha was two months pregnant at the time of her death. After this revelation, the case has taken a more sensitive turn.
The family made serious allegations against the husband and in-laws
Twisha’s family has accused her husband Samarth Singh and her in-laws of mental and physical torture for a long time. The family says that an attempt is being made to show the case as suicide, while the injury marks on the body raise many questions. The family claimed that Twisha had injury marks on her hands and ears, leading them to suspect murder and destruction of evidence.

On Sunday, Twisha’s family came to protest outside the residence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The family stood there for several hours and kept demanding to meet the Chief Minister directly. Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma alleged that there was serious negligence in the police investigation. He says that the FIR was registered two days after the death and no one has been arrested till now. He also said that the family does not trust the SIT investigation and they want a Supreme Court monitored investigation. Police have initiated investigation against husband Samarth Singh and his mother, retired judge Giribala Singh, on charges of dowry harassment, assault and destruction of evidence. Retired judge Giribala Singh has got anticipatory bail from the court, while the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea of Samarth Singh is to be held on May 18.
Demand for re-postmortem in AIIMS Delhi
The family has also raised questions on the initial post-mortem report of AIIMS Bhopal. He says that the report is not satisfactory. The family is now demanding re-postmortem at AIIMS Delhi. Twisha’s father alleged that the body was not being preserved at the correct temperature. He said that the family had demanded to keep the body at minus 4 degrees Celsius, so that there is no decomposition.
