Bhopal/Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed happiness after the important decision of Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the historical Bhojshala located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. He said that this decision is a symbol of respect for Indian culture, faith and historical heritage. The Chief Minister said that the state government fully respects the court’s decision and will provide all possible cooperation in its effective implementation.

Expressed happiness on considering Bhojshala as temple of Maa Vagdevi

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the decision given by the High Court considering Bhojshala as a protected monument and the place of worship of Maa Vagdevi is linked to the faith of crores of people. He said that the conservation and management of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will further strengthen the historical and religious dignity of Bhojshala. Besides, facilities for worship will also be ensured to the devotees.

Government will make efforts to bring back the statue of Maa Vagdevi

The Chief Minister also welcomed the direction of the court, in which the Central Government has been asked to consider bringing back the statue of Maa Vagdevi from the London Museum to India. He said that the state government is also ready to take necessary steps in this direction.

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Indian culture has always been giving the message of equality for all religions, social harmony and brotherhood. He clarified that the state government is committed to further strengthening peace, cultural pride and social harmony in the state.

What did the High Court say in the Bhojshala case?

In its decision, the High Court has declared Bhojshala as a protected monument and considered it to be the temple of Maa Vagdevi. The court has given the right to worship to the Hindu side, while the right of the Muslim community to offer namaz has been revoked.

Now ASI will manage the banquet hall

The court has said in its order that the management and control of Bhojshala will remain under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Along with this, the Muslim community has also been given the option to apply to the government for allotment of other suitable land.
