How did this tradition start?

This incident frightened the temple priest. The priest did not tell this to anyone for two months. Later some people of the village were told about it. Initially people did not listen to the priest, but then he poured water on the lamp and lit it. After this, it took no time for this news to spread in the area. It is said that since then the tradition of lighting lamps with the water of Kalisindh river started in this temple.

During the rainy season, this temple gets submerged in the river due to rising water level. In such a situation, worship stops there. Then the flame is lit again on the day of Ghatasthapana of Shardiya Navratri.
