New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz has launched special ‘Celebration Editions’ of the C-Class and E-Class in India to mark 140 years of the brand globally. These are limited-run models, with only 140 units of each sedan being offered. The company had earlier introduced similar anniversary editions on models like the Mercedes-Benz EQS and Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
The special editions do not bring mechanical changes but add extra features and exclusivity. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class celebration edition is priced at Rs 62.40 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Mercedes-Benz E-Class celebration edition costs Rs 82.70 lakh (ex-showroom), both carrying a premium over their standard versions.

The updates are focused mainly on added equipment. Both models get a dashcam, rear-seat entertainment screens, cushions and curated collectibles as part of the package. The brand only makes some changes to distinguish the cars from their standard versions while keeping the core cars unchanged.
The C-Class celebration edition continues with the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with mild-hybrid assistance. It produces 197 bhp, along with an extra 20 bhp boost, and 440 Nm torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. Key features include ventilated and heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, Burmester sound system, 11.9-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster.
E-Class keeps long-wheelbase setup
The E-Class celebration edition also remains mechanically unchanged. It uses the 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 194 bhp and 440 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Feature highlights include a 14.4-inch infotainment screen, 64-colour ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and electric sunblinds for rear passengers. In India, the E-Class continues to be sold only in long-wheelbase form.
