1. Banana peel liquid fertilizer
Banana peels are rich in potassium, which helps in producing flowers and fruits in plants. To make this, cut 3 to 4 banana peels into small pieces and soak them in a bottle of water for 2 to 3 days. When the water turns light brown, filter it and pour it into the plants. It is especially very beneficial for flowering plants.
2. Fermented rice water fertilizer
Instead of throwing away the water that remains after washing the rice, keep it covered for 1 to 2 days so that it gets lightly fermented. This water is rich in micro-nutrients and increases good bacteria in the soil. Adding it to plants 1 to 2 times a week helps in their growth faster.
3. Tonic compote of onion peels
Dried onion peels contain antioxidants and minerals, which increase the immunity of plants. Soak a handful of onion peels in 1 liter of water for 24 hours. After this, filter this water and pour it into the roots of the plants. This fertilizer also helps in protecting plants from pests.
4. Dry compost of tea leaves (few people know the right method)
Often people put used tea leaves directly in the pot, which can cause harm. The right way is to first wash and dry the tea leaves thoroughly so that there is no sugar or milk in it. After drying, mix it in the soil. It improves the structure of the soil and provides light nitrogen to the plants.
5. Mineral fertilizer of wood ash
If wood or coal is used in the house, then its remaining ash can be used as fertilizer instead of throwing it away. Ash contains calcium and potassium, which nourish the soil.
