One God Worship: There are 33 crore gods and goddesses in Hindu religion, then why should one God be created?

Unlock Spiritual Growth: In Sanatan culture, it is possible to worship 33 crore gods and goddesses, but making one God the presiding deity gives great meaning to life. This is what renowned astrologer and architect Dr. Basavaraj Guruji has to say. He said that it is customary to worship different deities in fields like business, scriptures, medicine, but Ishtadev provides overall auspiciousness.

Guruji told that “Sarvadev Namaskar: Keshavam Prati Gachchati”, that is, even if we salute all the gods, it is very important to permanently establish one God in our heart. It plays an important role in our spiritual journey. Ekadevavasana is similar to “Ekam Sat Vipra Bahuda Vadanti”, which means that Truth is one, but the wise call it by many names. This increases our concentration and faith and provides a way to correct the obstacles and actions that come in life.

‘The results of actions shape life’

He said that choose any deity, be it Ganapati, Shiva, Vishnu, Venkateswara, Krishna, consider him as your family deity or favorite deity and regularly chant, darshan and worship his name. It is better to chant and worship the same deity again and again. Although one can have darshan of all the deities and consume holy water, it is necessary to have deep devotion towards a deity like that between a mother and a child. It is not like worshiping one deity one year and another deity the next year.

Guruji said that we should stay away from criticizing God and committing crimes against Him. The results of our actions shape our lives. Even though today’s donations and sacrifices may not yield immediate results, they will support us in the future and reduce the consequences of our actions. Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita, “He promises to protect the welfare of His believers.” By continuously chanting a mantra, the goddess of that mantra takes care of everything. By continuously chanting mantras like Om Namah Shivay, Om Mahalakshmi Namah, Om Namo Venkateshaya, one gets the blessings of God.

‘God does not do injustice to anyone’

He said that one should remember the words of Paramhansa, which states that digging dozens of wells at one place will not yield water. But if a well is dug deep, water will definitely be available. Similarly, as by traveling in the same boat one attains salvation by loyal devotion towards one God. The omnipresent, omnipresent and omnipotent God does not do injustice to anyone. Guruji advised that you should always remember God who is beneficial to you and you will remain healthy and free.
