Worship method of Budh Pradosh fast
On this day, a resolution to fast is taken after waking up early in the morning and taking bath. Lord Shiva is remembered by fasting the whole day. In the evening, during the Pradosh period, anointment of Shivalinga is done by going to Shiva temple or at home with water, milk, Belpatra, Dhatura and flowers. After this, chanting of Shiva mantras and aarti is done. Especially chanting Om Namah Shivay mantra is considered very auspicious.
