A very painful and humanity shocking case has come to light from Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. The happiness of a couple who got married as per the rituals after falling in love on social media came to an end when just four months after the marriage, the husband was diagnosed with a serious illness (cancer).
The wife who had promised to support her for seven lives went away leaving her husband suffering from a serious illness.
It is alleged that the wife married another young man without obtaining a legal divorce while the divorce petition was pending in the family court. Now the court has taken a tough stand in this matter and has issued an arrest warrant against the accused wife.
Let us tell you that this sad story is of Akash Jat living in Revenue Colony of Ratlam. Akash was identified on social media with Sakshi Nakum, a resident of Ratlam. Friendship turned into love and after an affair of about six months, both of them got married on 20 November 2022 at the Arya Samaj Temple in Indore against the wishes of the family.
However, after initial resentment, both their families agreed and their official marriage was conducted with full Hindu customs on 13 December 2022. The real storm in Akash’s life came just four months after the marriage when his health started deteriorating. During examination in Vadodara on 10 April 2023, doctors confirmed that Akash had cancer in the trachea of his throat.
‘You will die tomorrow…’
As soon as the news of the illness was received, wife Sakshi’s attitude completely changed. Victim Akash alleges that Sakshi used to tell him, “You will die tomorrow, then what will happen to me?” And after this she left him alone and went to her maternal home. Amidst the illness, Akash suffered a legal and mental blow when Sakshi filed a divorce petition in the Ratlam Family Court.
The divorce case was still going on in the court and the petition was on the verge of being rejected when on June 10, 2024, Sakshi secretly married a young man from Chhatarpur for the second time. She also has a daughter from her second husband. When Akash came to know about this fraud, he did not lose courage and gathered solid evidence of fraud and bigamy against his wife while she was undergoing cancer treatment and approached the court.
Arrest warrant issued
While hearing the petition filed by Akash, the Ratlam court sent summons to the witness several times and ordered him to appear. When the witness did not appear in the court despite repeated notices being sent, the court took a strict stance on her continuous absence and issued an arrest warrant against her. Akash, who is swinging between life and death, is currently fighting a legal battle for justice against his illness as well as his wife’s betrayal.
