According to government directives, families of those who died in disaster-related incidents will receive financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh. Compensation has also been announced for farmers whose crops suffered more than 33 percent damage. The compensation rates vary based on the type of farmland and cultivation.
Relief measures have additionally been extended to livestock owners. Financial support has been fixed for the death of milch and non-milch animals, while separate compensation amounts have been announced for smaller animals such as goats, sheep and pigs.
During a review meeting held through video conferencing, Relief Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod instructed district officials to personally monitor relief distribution and maintain regular contact with affected families. Control rooms have also been placed on alert to monitor the situation and respond to emergency calls.
The state administration said surveys of damaged crops and affected areas are being conducted to ensure eligible beneficiaries receive assistance. Officials have also been directed to speed up verification work so compensation can be distributed in a timely manner.
The India Meteorological Department’s weather alerts were circulated through official warning systems as authorities continued monitoring conditions across vulnerable districts.
