Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave land allotment letters to 17 investors in YEIDA area. He said that UP has now become a global center of investment, industry and tourism. Big investments are coming to the state due to Jewar Airport, better law and order and strong infrastructure.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday provided land allotment letters to 17 investors under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. On this occasion, he welcomed the investors and said that Uttar Pradesh has now become a world class center of tourism, trade and investment. The Chief Minister said that the entrepreneurs investing in the state are not just investors but partners of the government in the development of Uttar Pradesh. He said that investors have played an important role in conveying the new identity of UP to the country and the world.
Big change in Jewar area in 9 years
CM Yogi said that today in the Jewar area where the country’s largest Noida International Airport is being built, there was an atmosphere of fear and insecurity till a few years ago. He said that about 9 years ago this area was known for serious criminal incidents. As the evening approached, the movement of people reduced and there were not enough basic facilities. But today the same area has become a major center of modern infrastructure and investment. The Chief Minister described it as a picture of “new Uttar Pradesh of new India”.
CM’s statement on law and order situation before 2017
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that before 2017, there was influence of mafia and criminals in the state. There was an atmosphere of fear and insecurity in different districts. He said that traders used to close shops early and families were worried about the safety of women. The condition of basic facilities like roads, electricity and connectivity was also weak. CM said that the government lacked a clear policy, safe environment for investment and adequate land bank, but now the situation has completely changed.
Told security and infrastructure as the first condition of development
The Chief Minister said that security is the most important basis for the development of any state. Industry and business can progress rapidly only in a safe environment. He said that today investors are getting the opportunity to set up industries in Uttar Pradesh without any hindrance. Road infrastructure in the state has strengthened rapidly and UP has become one of the top states of the country. According to CM, about 60 percent of the total expressway network of the country is present in the state. Besides, a road network of four lakh kilometers has been developed.
Big expansion in air and rail connectivity of UP
The Chief Minister said that before the year 2017, only two airports were active in the state, whereas today 16 airports are operating. These include five international airports. He said that work is going on at a fast pace on six more airports. Apart from this, UP also has a 16 thousand kilometer long rail network and the junction of Eastern-Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. CM said that the area where investment is being made has world class air connectivity, road network and logistics facilities, due to which this area is becoming a big logistics hub.
UP is now a riot and mafia free state: CM Yogi Adityanath
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is now free from riots, curfew, anarchy and mafia culture. He said that the state government guarantees security and transparent system to every investor. Every entrepreneur investing in UP is playing an important role in providing employment to the youth and connecting them with skill development.
Emphasis on UP’s sectoral policy and land bank
CM Yogi said that 34 sectoral policies are implemented in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, special policies have also been made for FDI and Fortune-500 companies. He informed that a large land bank of 25 thousand hectares is being developed in YEIDA area. Beida is being prepared as a new industrial city, where 56 thousand acres of land will be available between Kanpur and Jhansi.
UP becomes the new growth engine of the country’s economy
The Chief Minister said that last year 156 crore tourists reached the state. He said that Uttar Pradesh always had immense potential, but due to earlier political thinking the state had lagged behind. He said that after the coming of the double engine government, the picture of the state has changed and today UP has emerged as a big growth center for the country’s economy.
Jewar Airport’s domestic flights will start from June 15
CM Yogi told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated Noida International Airport in February. Modern facilities like cargo and MRO will also be available in the airport. He said that domestic flights will start operating here from June 15 and after that international flight services will also be started.
Told investors land with “gold price”
The Chief Minister told the investors that the area in which land is being allotted to them is very important from the future point of view. He said that this is not only Uttar Pradesh but also among the most promising investment lands in the world. Giving an example, he said that even in areas like Gorakhpur, thousands of youth have got employment due to investment.
Emphasis on employment of women and safe working environment
CM Yogi said that now there is a fear-free environment for industries in the state and the situation like “Gunda Tax” has ended. He said that increasing investment at the local level will provide employment to youth and women. According to the Chief Minister, earlier the participation of women workforce in the state was 10 to 12 percent, which has now increased to 36 to 37 percent.
Target of creating 15 thousand jobs
The Chief Minister said that the new investments will create about 15 thousand direct and indirect employment opportunities. Big investment proposals have come in sectors like renewable energy, battery manufacturing, electronics, IT, data processing, apparel and MSME. He said that SEAL Solar is setting up a solar manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs 8,000 crore, while Escorts Kubota will set up a tractor and construction equipment manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs 4,500 crore.
Rapidly developing industrial park in YEIDA
The Chief Minister said that visionary planning and fast track implementation campaign is being carried out in the YEIDA area. He said that recently the Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of North India’s largest semiconductor chip unit here. Apart from this, Electronic Manufacturing Cluster, Apparel Park, Medical Device Park, MSME Park, Data Center Park and Toy Park are also being developed rapidly.
Urge to invest outside NCR also
The Chief Minister urged investors to also invest in the districts of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand outside NCR. He said that there is huge investment potential in districts like Ballia, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Banda and Lalitpur. Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of State Jaswant Singh Saini and many industrialists and investors were present in the program.
