Xiaomi recently unveiled the 15 series comprising the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro in China. Now, the rumours of the Ultra variant have started buzzing the internet.
While the launch is far away, expected to take place next year. A new leak of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has surfaced online, revealing its camera details. Here’s what the new leak suggests.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Camera Details Out
The new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 50MP main sensor with a 23mm focal length and an f/1.6 aperture. The focal length of the main camera is expected to be larger than the predecessor Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s 8.7xmm.
The tipster further reveals a “new customized hardware module,” which is expected to be specifically designed for Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s main sensor. However, the DCS hasn’t mentioned the exact details of this.
Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is tipped to get a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 4.3x optical zoom, a 100mm focal length, and an f/2.6 aperture. The tipster also mentions that the size of the periscope sensor has been slightly cropped to 25.xmm focal length with two zoom options – 4.3x with a 1/1.5-inch image size, and 4.1x with a 1/1.4-inch sensor.
The earlier leak suggested that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also have a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor and a 50MP periscope lens with 2x zoom. Upfront, it is expected to get a 32MP selfie camera.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
In addition to impressive cameras, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.7-inch LTPO micro quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking.
Like other models of the Xiaomi 15 series, the Ultra variant is also likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset under its hood. The device could pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. On the software side, the phone is tipped to ship with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15.
