Work on clean air mission in Delhi, environmental strategists gathered at the Round Table Conference

The Delhi government discussed its clean air mission with environmental strategists at the high -level Round Table Conference. Explain that a high -level Round Table Conference on air pollution was organized on Saturday under the leadership of Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa in the Delhi Secretariat.

The conference was attended by major institutions- IIT Delhi, SPA, Terry, CEEW, CSE, CSTEP, WRI India, Clean Air Asia, and others.

Discussion on these schemes

During this time experts emphasized sustainable urban mobility, construction dust control and data-operated air quality intervention. Also discussed the future expansion plans to ensure public access to the 400 meters of Delhi Metro, to adopt EV in public transport, to end the vehicles running up to the end of life in a phased manner.

Meeting with Delhi Pollution Control Committee

Earlier, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa held a meeting with the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) on Friday to review strict implementation of dust measures at construction sites. Sirsa directed the authorities to make the use of anti-mogogue mandatory, set up tarpaulin and green nets at all sites, video fencing with PTZ cameras and PM2.5 sensors for monitoring, main DPCC withdrawal performance at all major sites, and ensure water spraying.

Rain in Delhi through cloud seeding

Sirsa said that the Delhi government is working on Prime Minister Modi’s vision. Today we have decided that we will rain in Delhi through cloud seeding. We want to trial it once. It will be our endeavor to rain in Delhi through cloud seeding and reduce pollution here.
