The video of an Indian youth working in UK is viral. In it, he compares India’s toxic work culture and the UK’s better work-life balance while relaxing on the beach at 5 pm. This video shows that youth are leaving the country even for a better environment.
Nowadays the number of Indian youth going abroad and settling is increasing. People are leaving the country in search of good job, good salary and better life. But there is another big reason for this – India’s toxic work culture, i.e. the suffocating working environment. Unnecessarily harassing employees and paying low salaries is a common practice in many companies. A boy has shared his experience regarding this, which has now gone viral.
Kartik Modi, who works in UK, has shared a video on Instagram. In this video, Karthik is seen resting on the beach after finishing his office work at 5 pm. With the office Diet Coke in his hand, he says, “You guys are asking why I left India and came so far away for a job? It’s 5 o’clock in the evening. I’m sitting on this beautiful beach with the office Diet Coke. I’ll sit here for a while and look at the view and then go have a coffee.”
Karthik was accompanied by one of his friends in the video. Describing the difference between the environment of India and UK, he said, “Bro, in India I was working like a donkey. After coming here, I understood what life is. Really, it is an experience like a cinema! The work-life balance here is amazing, it is unbelievable.”
After this video went viral, many comments are coming on it. One user wrote, “People don’t leave the country just for money, they also want a peaceful environment to work.” Another user wrote, “India’s work culture needs to change now. Excessive workload has a negative impact on mental health.”
