Under the leadership of Muskaan Mahila Self-Help Group President Mrs. Sunita Singh and Secretary Mrs. Yashoda Das, a 10-member group has made local tourism a medium of livelihood. Boating facility has been started by the group for the tourists visiting Pilkha reservoir. Along with enjoying this natural site, tourists can also experience boating. For this a fee of Rs 50 per person has been fixed. This initiative has provided women with a new and sustainable source of income.

The beginning of this initiative was not easy. In the initial period, the group faced many problems related to lack of resources, lack of technical knowledge and operations. However, instead of being afraid of these challenges, women resolved to convert them into opportunities.
