The official Wimbledon account shared a collage of photos on X comparing two Center Court moments more than a decade apart. The post contained a photo of Tendulkar and Kohli attending Wimbledon in 2015 along with a photo of 2026, with Tendulkar sitting next to Gill. “Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill. Earlier, Tendulkar had praised the quality of tennis being displayed at Wimbledon after watching the men’s singles semi-finals from Center Court. He described Jannik Sinner’s performance as a “masterclass” and praised the efforts of Alexander Zverev and Britain’s Arthur Ferry.
Tendulkar was one of many sporting icons present in the Royal Box at Wimbledon, where he watched Zverev reach his first Wimbledon final by defeating Britain’s Arthur Ferry, before Sinner booked his place in the title match with a stunning win over Serbian giant Djokovic. Former West Indies captain Brian Lara was also with him. The two great batsmen made headlines together after being international rivals for years and later teammates in several charity matches.

Current Indian Test captain Shubman Gill also featured in the semi-finals, adding another touch of cricketing royalty to the center court. In a post on X after the matches, Tendulkar reflected on an entertaining day at the All England Club. Tendulkar wrote, “Wimbledon, you never disappoint! It was a privilege to watch two brilliant semi-finals today. The fight and belief shown by Ferry was amazing to watch, while Zverev’s big serving played a vital role in the victory in a tough match.”
The batting great also praised world No. 1 Jannik Sinner after the Italian’s straight sets win over seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic. He said, “And then came Janik Sinner’s masterclass. The way he combined power with control in every shot was remarkable. Novak fought till the end, but Janik was at his best today.”
