“Will work day and night…”, Yugendra Pawar expresses gratitude for MVA on being given ticket from Baramati

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 25 (Desk): NCP-SCP leader Yugendra Pawar on Thursday exuded confidence in his victory from the Baramati constituency against his uncle Ajit Pawar.

“I thank Sharad Pawar faction, Jayant Patil, Supriya Sule and other senior leaders of the party. For the people of Baramati, I will work day and night to solve all the issues of the people,” Yugendra Pawar said while speaking to Desk.
Yugendra Pawar, who is the grandnephew of Sharad Pawar and nephew of Ajit Pawar is going to contest the polls from Baramati against his uncle Ajit Pawar in the upcoming Maharashtra elections. He is the son of Ajit Pawar’s younger brother Shrinivas Pawar.

In a social media post on X, Pawar expressed gratitude towards the MVA for granting him the candidature from Baramati.

“I have been announced as the candidate of Nationalist Congress Party – Sharad Chandra Pawar Party on behalf of Mahavikas Aghadi from Baramati Assembly Constituency. Respected Pawar Saheb, MP Supriyatai Sule, State President Hon. Mr. Jayantrao Patil and the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi have entrusted me with this responsibility. I will try to make it successful. On this occasion, I promise to move under the leadership of respected Pawar Saheb and under the guidance of Supriyatai for the sustainable development of Baramati. I will always try to earn the trust of Mahavikas Aghadi leaders, colleagues, workers and voters. It is a humble request that your blessings and best wishes remain with me for the service of the people, the honor of the farmers-labourers, the senior citizens and women and the self-respect of Maharashtra,” Yugendra Shrinivas Pawar wrote in a post on X.

The Nationalist Congress party (Sharad Pawar faction) on Thursday announced a list of 45 candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra scheduled for November 20.

The National Congress party has fielded Jayant Patil from Islampur, Jitendra Awahad from Mumbra, Gulabrao Deokar from Jalgaon Rural, Ashok Rao Pawar from Shirur, Anil Deshmukh from Katol and Rohit Pawar from Karjat Jamkhed constituency.

Rajendra Shingane is contesting from Rajendra Shingane, Bapu Saheb Pathare from Vadgaon Sheri and Rohini Khadse from Muktainagar.

“As per instructions from Nation President Sharad Pawar, I am announcing the first list of NCP SP. Jayant Patil to contest from Islampur. Jitendra Awahad to contest from Mumbra. Anil Deshmukh to contest from Katol. Rohit Pawar to contest from Karjat Jamkhed and Rohini Khadse to contest from Muktainagar,” Jayant Patil said.

In the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena won 56 seats, and the Congress secured 44 seats. In 2014, the BJP won 122 seats, while the Shiv Sena won 63 and the Congress 42. (Desk)
