There was a meeting between Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde for about half an hour in Delhi on Wednesday. Political and social equations of Maharashtra were discussed in the meeting. Vinod Tawde returned from Patna tour at night and met Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence.

According to sources, there was a long discussion between the two leaders regarding the political developments in Maharashtra and the efforts to form a new government. The impact of Eknath Shinde not being the Chief Minister on the political and social equations of the state was also discussed. The BJP top leadership is continuously brainstorming about the impact it will have on the Maratha voters of Maharashtra.

Before the meeting with Tawde, Home Minister Amit Shah held separate meetings with NCP and Shiv Sena leaders and took feedback. Before the meeting of Home Minister Amit Shah with the three top leaders of Mahayuti on Thursday, he is continuously taking feedback from the leaders of Maharashtra.

Another meeting is going to be held in Delhi today regarding Maharashtra. There will be a meeting of Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar with Amit Shah, in which the final decision will be taken on the name of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Even before the meeting with Amit Shah, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has withdrawn from the race for CM. He has announced to support the BJP Chief Minister.

While talking to the media, he said that whatever decision PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah take, Shiv Sena will accept it. BJP has welcomed this decision of Shinde. Devendra Fadnavis has said that there has never been any difference of opinion on anything in Mahayuti, rather all decisions have been taken sitting together.

Will Eknath Shinde accept the post of Deputy CM?

At the same time, it is being said that BJP can offer the post of Deputy CM to Eknath Shinde. But, meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat said that Eknath Shinde will never accept the post of Deputy CM. He said, ‘The election was fought in the name of Eknath Shinde. He deserves to return as Chief Minister. In Maharashtra, BJP has won 132 out of 288 assembly seats. BJP is just 13 seats away from achieving majority. Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party won 41 seats.
