Voting for Maharashtra Assembly elections has been completed. After this, brainstorming regarding CM face has started in all the parties. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Shirsat was asked whether Eknath Shinde will go with opposition Sharad Pawar to become CM for the second time? On this he said, whatever decision Shinde takes, we will accept it. We will stand firmly with them. We have full confidence in him and it will always be so.
The MLA also said, after the results of Maharashtra elections are announced, the party will accept whoever Eknath Shinde goes with and will go with him only. Supporting Eknath Shinde, Shirsat said, Eknath Shinde always goes in the right direction and this has been the experience of the party. Eknath Shinde had separated from Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in the year 2022 and then he formed the government with BJP and became the CM of the state. Shirsat was one of the Shiv Sena MLAs who was with Shinde during the rebellion.
What was said about the post of CM?
When Sanjay Shirsat was asked what would be the attitude if Eknath Shinde was not made the CM even after Mahayuti won. On this Shirsat said, only Eknath Shinde will take the decision regarding this. This is their right and we cannot comment on it. Whatever decision Eknath Shinde takes, we will accept it.
What did BJP say about Shirsat’s statement?
When BJP leader Praveen Darekar was asked about Shirsat’s statement, he said, Shirsat’s statement does not represent the official stand of the party. Eknath Shinde’s party has contested the elections against Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP). It is unimaginable for Eknath Shinde to have such an alliance with MVA. He further said, BJP, Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s NCP are members of the ruling grand alliance. On the other hand, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar).
Voting has been done on 288 seats of Maharashtra on 20th November, after this the results of the elections will be revealed on 23rd November.
