The central government is constantly making many efforts to deal with Delhi’s pollution. Meanwhile, there is news that the central government can gradually stop petrol and diesel vehicles in Delhi. According to the Economic Times report, the Central Government is considering promoting the registration of diesel and petrol vehicles in the National Capital Region (NCR) and promoting electric vehicles (EV), hybrid or CNG variants. This issue is being discussed on a large scale in the central government and apart from automobile companies, many stakeholders have been discussed with ministries.
According to the report, how long the new plan will be applicable, no date has been fixed, but it is being told that the first order of sanctions can come to Delhi. After this, it will be applicable in surrounding districts like Gurugram, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad. According to the report, by 2025 new cars and two -wheelers can only be limited to green fuel. However, some restrictions can start gradually from this financial year.
Plan will come first for bus and big vehicles
The good thing is that this order can come up to the end for private vehicle owners. First of all this order can come for commercial vehicles. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, only the registration of new buses running electric or CNG can be limited in Delhi. The time limit for three tire loading vehicles and light goods vehicles can go up to 2027. This can be more for commercial taxis. In the same report, it has been claimed that entry of all cargo vehicles running on less than BS-6 emission standards can be stopped in Delhi.
