CJP is demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Despite not getting police permission, the demonstration will continue throughout the night. The offer of talks with the government has also been rejected.
New Delhi: CJP (Citizens for Justice and Peace) has announced that their protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar will not end until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. CJP leader Abhijeet Deepke said that this demonstration which started in the morning will now continue till the next morning. A letter was given to the police to protest throughout the night, but the police did not allow it. CJP has decided that this demonstration will continue day and night from 6 pm today till tomorrow. Abhijeet Deepke had written a letter to the DCP of Delhi seeking permission to continue the protest at night. But after the refusal of Delhi Police, now an atmosphere of tension has been created in the capital.
Strict instructions from police
Police have given strict instructions that the protesters should vacate the place as soon as the permission time ends. But ignoring this police ban, Abhijeet Deepke has appealed to his workers not to leave the protest site under any circumstances. The protesters are adamant that whether the police gives permission or not, they will continue their agitation at Jantar Mantar even at night. Meanwhile, the government said it was ready for talks with the protesters, but the CJP rejected the offer. Deepke made it clear that talks with the government will take place only when the minister resigns. He has also appealed that the demonstration should be completely peaceful.
