An increase in the price of jet fuel has been seen in all four metros of the country. In the country’s capital Delhi, the price of jet fuel has increased by Rs 624.37, after which the price has become Rs 1,01,396.54 per kilo liter. On the other hand, the minimum increase of Rs 499.50 has been seen in Kolkata. After which the price has become 1,10,296.83. An increase of Rs 563.22 has been seen in the price of jet fuel in Mumbai. After which the price was seen at Rs 94,809.22. In Chennai, the main state of South India, the price of jet fuel has seen an increase of Rs 558.44, after which the price has become Rs 1,05,398.63 per kilo liter.
Rent may increase
Jet fuel accounts for 40 percent of the operational costs of any airline company; In such a situation, an increase in the price of air travel may be seen in the month of March. However, there has been a decline for three consecutive months in the months of November, December, January and February. In the month of October, the price of jet fuel in Delhi was Rs 1,18,199.17 per kilolitre. Whereas in the month of February the price had come down to Rs 1,00,772.17 per kilometre. This means that during this period, there was a reduction of 15 percent i.e. Rs 17,427 per kiloliter in jet fuel in Delhi. Due to which the airline has also made a lot of profit.
