Rudraksha Facts: Many things related to Lord Shiva are popular in Hindu religion, Rudraksha is also included in these. From the scientific point of view, Rudraksha is a special type of seed, which is obtained from a tree named Elaeocarpus ganitrus. This tree is found in Nepal, India, Indonesia and parts of South-East Asia. Rudraksha is seen associated with Lord Shiva. It is believed that this is the ornament of Mahadev.

According to religious belief, wearing Rudraksha is considered a symbol of reverence and devotion towards Lord Shiva. Many people wear it during worship, chanting and meditation. According to religious texts, once upon a time there was a king named Bhadrasen. He had only one son. The astrologers told the king that his son’s life span was very short. When asked about the solution, he told the king, ‘Make your son wear Mahadev’s favorite Rudraksh. This can postpone the time of its death. The king did the same. Due to the influence of Rudraksha, King Bhadrasen’s son got a long life and he also became a Chakravarti king like his father.

Religious significance of Rudraksha
According to the Puranas and traditions associated with Shiva, Rudraksha was born from the tears of Lord Shiva. For this reason it is considered sacred. How to identify real or fake Rudraksha?
1.In real Rudraksha the faces (natural lines) go from top to bottom. If it is broken in the middle then it may be fake.
2. Real Rudraksha does not have much shine whereas fake Rudraksha is shiny and smooth.
3. If you are buying expensive or rare Rudraksha, then real or fake can also be identified through X-ray test.
4. Real Rudraksha is of light weight and floats on water and fake Rudraksha is heavy and sinks in water.
