Why the government’s intervention in religious properties? Question of NCP Sharad faction leader Jitendra Awhad on Waqf Bill

The government has made it clear that it will introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha at 12 noon tomorrow i.e. at 12 noon. 8 hours have been set to discuss this bill. On the other hand, the opposition parties have mobilized since this announcement of the government. Opposition parties say that the government is hurrying about this issue and the bill is being imposed on a particular community. Meanwhile, a big statement of NCP Sharad Pawar faction MLA Jitendra Awhad has come out on this bill and he has also raised questions.

Jitendra Awhad gave a statement saying that I feel that the Waqf Board is being forcefully implemented. This land is not a personal property of anyone, but it is a dedicated land for religious purpose. Muslim society uses Waqf land for protecting its religion and construction of mosques, madrasas, colleges, training centers, cemetery etc. for religious works.

Then why is the government interfering in this?

He further said that our ancestors, who used to be rich people, used to give their land in the form of donations. This is called Waqf, and it is completely religious property. Then why is the government interfering in this? There are many places in India, which no one can touch, but the capitalists are watching them.

What is the need to interfere in the religion of others?

He further said that it is shameful that some Muslim representatives themselves helped in selling the land of Waqf. Whereas this land should have been used in the interest of poor, community and religion. Whoever loves India and respects the Constitution, he should think seriously on this subject. What is the need to interfere in the religion of others? Let them live in their way. What a new trend has started, ‘Do not eat it, do not do that India is your father’s property?
