Taking a big decision, BJP has made Ashutosh Tiwari its candidate by canceling the ticket of former Home Minister Narottam Mishra for the by-election to be held on Datia Assembly seat of Madhya Pradesh. This seat had become vacant after the disqualification of Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti. But from Datia to Bhopal, there is only one question in the minds of political circles and common people that why Ashutosh was fielded in place of such a powerful leader Narottam. What is it that the high command took such a big decision?
1. Narottam’s name removed on the basis of feedback
According to sources, after the consent of MP State BJP and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the single name of Dr. Narottam Mishra was sent to the central leadership for Datia seat. Due to which the high command and the central team sitting in Delhi were in doubt. The high command took feedback from Narottam Mishra. Besides, the opinion of the organization was also taken, in which everyone could not reach a consensus, so keeping in view the election strategy, the party decided on Ashutosh at the last moment.
2. Had he won, Narottam would have become powerful.
On being denied the ticket, political experts also say that if Narottam Mishra had won the MLA election, he would have had to be given a big post in the ministry. Due to which he would become powerful and also become a new power center in Madhya Pradesh. Because he has been among the leaders with number-2 role in Mishra Shivraj government. In such a situation, the party does not want factionalism in the government. Because many big leaders like Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel and Narendra Singh Tomar are already present in the government. In such a situation, the party has fielded a new face i.e. Ashutosh.
3. Opposition to Narottam in the area
According to sources, Narottam Mishra may have become the first choice among BJP workers, but according to the survey conducted by Central, he is not a winning candidate in Datia. That means there is opposition among the people of Datia. Especially Brahmins do not like them. There are more than 30 thousand Brahmin voters in Datia. That’s why Central has bet on Ashutosh Tiwari to create Brahmin vote bank.
4. Narottam failed in the survey of youth.
According to media reports, the party now wants young leadership, hence Narottam Mishra’s ticket has also been cut. Because in Datia there are about 11 percent youth voters between 18 to 23 years. Whereas Ashutosh is younger than Narottam and his image is clean. Because of this he has been given a ticket.
5. Ashutosh became the first choice of the Sangh
It is said that Ashutosh has deep penetration from BJP organization to RSS. He is a resident of Datia district and has been working for the party for a long time. According to the survey conducted by the Sangh, Ashutosh came out ahead of veteran leader Narottam. So the high command took a shocking decision.
