Why is this Pakistani bowler in discussion about T20 World Cup, ICC gave clean chit. Usman Tariq Responds To Indian Fans Over Controversial Bowling Action

Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq has termed the discussion on his bowling action as pressure from India. After getting a clean chit from the ICC, all eyes are on his performance against India on February 15.

Colombo: Amidst the ongoing discussions among Indian fans regarding his strange bowling action, Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq has responded. He said that facing him in the upcoming match will be a big pressure for India and the unnecessary discussions about his action are proof of this. When asked about Indian fans’ criticism of his bowling style, Tariq said… “I think there is so much discussion among Indian fans because they are under pressure. If they are opposing my action, it means they are worried about facing me. But I don’t pay attention to such media discussions. I am only focused on my game and training,” Usman said.

Action reported twice

Tariq’s action was previously reported twice due to an elbow bend. But he got clearance in the ICC investigation. He has made his presence felt by taking three wickets in his first World Cup match against USA. Pakistan had tried four spinners, including Tariq, in the last match, keeping Shaheen Afridi as the only fast bowler. It is believed that this is part of the strategy against India.

it’s just a normal match

To a question about the historical record against India, Tariq replied that past wins should also be taken into account. “It’s just a normal match. We’re trying to play with a simple plan, without getting too excited or under pressure. Our aim is to look at this like every match and win the World Cup.” Now the cricket world is waiting to see how India will face Tariq’s mystery spin in the match to be held in Colombo on February 15.
