DP Yadav, the powerful leader of Western Uttar Pradesh, is in danger to his life. He fears that some big gangster is plotting to murder him. He has claimed that this information was given to him by an ACP posted in the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. Said that the police officer warned him about this danger and told him that three people involved in this conspiracy have been arrested from Noida. Citing this input received from Delhi Police, powerful leader DP Yadav has appealed to the Union Home Ministry and Uttar Pradesh Government for security. DP Yadav, originally a resident of Sarfabad village in Noida, has become elderly and currently lives in Rajnagar, Ghaziabad.
He used to wrestle since childhood. Later he started doing milk business with his father in Delhi. During these days, he came in contact with a liquor mafia and then after getting into the liquor business, within a few days he became a big liquor mafia of Western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. He made his mark in politics through the liquor business and became an MLA and reached the position of cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. In the 90s, when Shriprakash Shukla, Harishankar Tiwari, Virendra Shahi and then Atiq Ahmed, Brijesh Singh etc. were in power in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, here in Western Uttar Pradesh, Dharampal alias DP Yadav was in power.
DP Yadav used to speak in the 90s
The situation was such that people used his name to threaten their opponents and in any case, no one had the courage to respond after his name came up. Though DP Yadav has left both crime and politics, but considering the cases already registered against him, his name is registered as a category B history-sheeter in Kavinagar police station of Ghaziabad. His history sheet has been opened by IG Range Meerut. Under this arrangement, he will remain under police surveillance throughout his life.
Name came in the murder of Mahendra Bhati
DP Yadav’s political guru was Mahendra Bhati of Dadri. He was murdered in Dadri itself on 13 November 1992. DP Yadav was accused of this incident. For the first time, DP Yadav came into limelight due to this incident. This case was investigated by CBI and in this case he was also sentenced to life imprisonment by the CBI Court of Ghaziabad. However, DP Yadav went to the High Court against the decision of the Lower Court and from there he got a clean chit in this case. After this, DP Yadav was also in the news in Ajay Katara case. However, he has been acquitted in this case due to lack of evidence.
Who is DP Yadav?
After gaining notoriety in the liquor business, DP Yadav came in contact with Mahendra Bhati in the 80s and considered him his political guru. Incidentally, even after being accused of murder of Mahendra Singh Bhati in 1992, SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav gave him ticket from Bulandshahr in the 1993 elections. He won in this and became MLA, but after leaving SP, he later joined BSP under the patronage of Mayawati. At that time Mayawati sent him to Rajya Sabha. Even here he could not survive and left BSP and formed his own party. However, he retired after losing two elections.
