Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2025. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film was theatrically released in December 2025. Three months later, Dhurandhar: The Revengehit the big screen in March this year.
Needless to say, it shattered several box office records and emerged as a blockbuster hit. A few days ago, the second installment’s raw and undekha version premiered on Netflix and JioHotstar. But that’s not the reason ‘Dhurandhar’ is currently trending on the internet. Ravi Kishan’s Bhojpuri film 2013 film, Dhurandhar: The Shooter, has got everyone talking.

At the recently held trailer launch of Dhamaal 4, was asked if he was aware of the fact that his Bhojpuri film Dhurandhar: The Shooter is being talked about Ranveer’s film. To this, the actor agreed and stated such exciting twists and turns keep happening in his life.
The actor recalled doing the Deepak Tiwari directorial, stating that it was a different kind of a film and had a different genre. “It had its own scale and budget. Now, suddenly, people have started watching my Dhurandhar in large numbers. So, thank you very much to everyone for that,” shared Ravi. The actor further joked that the producer who owned rights to the Bhojpuri film must have become a millionaire.
For the unversed, Ravi played a lead role in Dhurandhar: The Shooter, which follows a man who stands up for what’s right when corruption harms innocent people. According to IMDb, the man challenges a dishonest office and ‘works to restore justice and accountability for his community. Apart from him, the film featured Sangeeta Tiwari and Awdhesh Mishra in key roles. This movie was reportedly mounted to be a commercial Bhojpuri action-entertainer.

Meanwhile, Ranveer’s Dhurandhar is one of the most successful Hindi film franchises. Produced by JioStudios and Aditya Dhar Films, the spy thriller’s first part collected a whopping Rs 840.2 crore at the domestic box office. On the other hand, the movie made Rs 1,307.35 crore at the worldwide box office.
Dhurandhar The Revenge, on the other hand, managed to mint Rs 1,149.2 crore in the domestic arena. The spy thriller went on to collect Rs 1,813 crore at the worldwide box office.
On the work front, Ravi will next be seen in Indra Kumar’s Dhamaal 4. Co-starring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and others, the film will be released on July 10.
