The Iranian delegation suddenly left the meeting, after which the expressions of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif were worth seeing. It was told that Iran had taken this step in protest against the recent warning given to Tehran by US President Donald Trump.
Talks were going on between Iran, America, Pakistan and Qatar
This meeting was being held between representatives of Iran, America, Pakistan and Qatar. The talks were held under the recently signed Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at reducing regional tensions and creating a comprehensive diplomatic framework for the future.

Iran’s displeasure over Trump’s remarks
The walkout came as Iranian officials objected to Trump’s warning that if certain conditions were not met, “you will have no country left.” According to Iranian state media, Tehran described these comments as against the spirit of the ongoing talks. Iran raised the issue at both public and private levels and expressed its concern.
Allegation of violation of America-Iran MoU
Iranian officials said that Trump’s comments are a violation of Article 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding between America and Iran. Under this, both sides are committed not to threaten the use of force during negotiations and to respect the diplomatic process.
Tehran also refused joint photo session
Iranian representatives told accompanying journalists that the walkout was a symbol of protest against Trump’s comments. However, according to diplomatic sources, the blockage was temporary and talks continued throughout the day. All parties remained in touch to take the talks forward. According to reports, the atmosphere had become tense even before the formal talks began. Iranian state media claimed that Tehran refused to attend a proposed joint photo session with the US delegation. Iran described it as America’s “media show”. Iranian officials said Trump’s public comments had undermined the confidence-building process, while negotiators were trying to create an environment for future agreements on sanctions relief and nuclear issues.
