Mainiya Samman Yojana of Jharkhand Government was started on September 23, 2023. Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiyan Samman Yojana is one of the ambitious schemes of Hemant Soren government. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 is given every month to women in the age group of 21 to 50 years, which will be a total of Rs 12,000 in a year. From September, the amount of this scheme will be deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries on the 15th of every month. To avail the benefits of the scheme, it is mandatory for women to register.
Let us tell you that just before the elections, Hemant Soren’s government had increased the amount given under this scheme from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500. When this scheme was started, the government had argued that its objective was to empower women economically. Chief Minister Maniyan Samman Yojana (JMMSY) was launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren by transferring Rs 1,000 each into the bank accounts of 57,120 women of Pakur district.

Women, Child Development and Social Security Department said that there is tremendous enthusiasm among the women of Jharkhand regarding this scheme. Within just two weeks of the start of the application process, 43 lakh women applied, out of which 37 lakh applications have been approved. The government has assured that the first installment of all accepted applications will be transferred to the accounts by August 31.

For registration, women will have to submit passport size photo, photocopy of Aadhar card, photocopy of bank passbook and photocopy of ration card. If a woman’s name is not in the ration card, she can use the ration card of her father or husband. The special thing is that this scheme will continue continuously, that is, girls who are currently 20 years old can register and avail the benefits of the scheme when they turn 21.
