Why Did Sunita Ahuja Say She Wants A Son Like Govinda, Not Husband?

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been in the spotlight for personal reasons. There were strong rumours about the couple heading for a divorce after nearly four decades of marriage. However,   cleared the air publicly. Recently, in an interview, the star’s wife once again addressed rumours about their troubled marriage. The Bollywood actor’s wife was asked if she was jealous of her husband’s fan following and the female attention that he enjoyed. Sunita stated that it used to be fine in the 90s when one had faith in one’s husband. In the same interaction, Sunita mentioned that she would want a son like Govinda, but not husband. Reacting to rumours of their troubled marriage, Sunita told Abhishek Vyas Insights that people, who gossip on social media, are speaking ‘rubbish’. Govinda’s wife stated that she and her husband would rather focus on what’s going on in their house. She further mentioned in Hindi that her husband excelled as ‘good’ son and brother.

Sunita added that she loves going to parties, for dinners and on holiday. However, Govinda got so busy in providing for his family that he never really enjoyed other things. She revealed that her husband has never lived for himself. And Sunita feels bad about it. She believes that Govinda has been big superstar, but hasn’t really seen anything.

That’s the reason, she shared in Hindi “I always say that I want a son like Govinda, not a husband.” Having said that, Sunita believes there’s no point regretting it as she can’t leave him now. They have been married for nearly 40 years and the star wife feels thinking about separation would be a ‘crime’.

For the uninitiated ,and Sunita got married on March 11, 1987. They have been blessed with two children – daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja.

Meanwhile, Sunita recently reunited with Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah on Laughter Chefs 3. They hadn’t been on talking terms for over a decade now. However, Govinda’s wife let bygones be bygones and forgave the comedian and his better half. On the cooking reality show, Krushna touched Sunita’s feet, while Kashmera apologised to her. They had a happy reunion. For the uninitiated, Govinda was upset with the comedian making fun of him on shows, and the latter had accused of him not visiting his kids in hospital.
