Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has returned to active politics in Punjab. However, he is avoiding giving a direct answer on this. He said on Thursday that his party high command can answer this. Sidhu, former chief of Punjab unit of Congress, has not been participating in party programs and activities for the last several months.
Navjot Singh Sidhu did not even campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections or the by-elections held in four assembly constituencies – Gidderbaha, Barnala, Dera Baba Nanak and Chabbewal. In response to the question related to returning to active politics, Navjot Singh Sidhu said that it is my high command who can answer, I cannot. Sidhu held a press conference at his residence in Amritsar.
Sidhu’s wife was suffering from cancer
Earlier, he said that his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu has now recovered from cancer. Regarding his wife’s recovery from cancer, he said that I feel really proud that Noni (his wife) has been declared medically cancer free today. The former minister said that Navjot Kaur Sidhu was found to be suffering from cancer about two years ago. He said that his wife has now completely recovered from this disease.
