Who will become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra? BJP will soon appoint observers

After the assembly election results in Maharashtra, now there is a dilemma regarding the face of the Chief Minister in the state. The people of the state have given majority to the grand alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and Ajit faction of NCP. Even after three days of the results, Mahayuti has not been able to give the final seal on the name of the Chief Minister. According to sources, BJP will soon decide the names of observers. Senior party leaders and ministers will be included among the observers.

Observers appointed by the party will attend the meeting of the BJP Legislative Party of Maharashtra. Where, after discussion with the MLAs, the MLAs will take a decision on the name of the party leader. It is believed that before the legislative party meeting, BJP will decide which party will be the Chief Minister by discussing with the allies in the alliance.

What do BJP workers want?

BJP sources say that after such a big victory, the party workers want the BJP to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The top BJP leadership also believes that this sentiment of BJP workers will also be taken into consideration while selecting the Chief Minister in Maharashtra. According to BJP sources, there is no dispute in deciding which party will be the CM.

BJP has the upper hand regarding Chief Minister’s face

BJP has the upper hand in the selection of Chief Minister because it has single-handedly won 132 seats. While Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena has won 57 seats and Ajit faction’s NCP has won 41 seats. In such a situation, it is believed that BJP may overpower its allies for the chief ministerial face. Anyway, there was no deal regarding the face of the Chief Minister in the Grand Alliance before the elections.

There can also be a formula of two and a half years

There may be a formula of one Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers in Maharashtra. There is also discussion that the post of Chief Minister can be considered for the next two and a half years. Eknath Shinde wants the post of Chief Minister for the first two and a half years. After this, Devendra Fadnavis may get the command. These are all possibilities and discussions. However, BJP is insisting on Fadnavis’s name for the post of Chief Minister. On the other hand, Shinde leader is demanding to make Eknath Shinde the Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar faction has supported Devendra Fadnavis for the post of Chief Minister.

‘It is natural for any nation to have deviations, but…’

President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of India, Kapil Sibal said that both the bench and the bar play a very important role for the rule of law. The Supreme Court has played its constitutional role fully on many occasions and has been a model for constitutional courts around the world. Which includes some names like Basic Structure Principle, PIL, Right to Privacy. It is natural for deviations to happen in any nation, but we have to ensure that the courts remain alert to their duty. We all should move forward with commitment towards the public. We must formulate theoretical and imaginative answers to difficult questions.
