Anuj was 32 years old and worked as a truck helper. However, apart from this he had contact with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. When he was arrested on charges of supplying weapons, it was revealed that cases under Arms Act and extortion were also registered against Anuj.
On March 15, Anuj had gone to Panvel area with another friend (Subhash Chander) and returned after giving two guns to the shooters there. Then on April 14, at around 5 am, four-five rounds of bullets were fired at Salman’s house.
When was Anuj arrested?
On April 25, the Crime Branch had arrested Anuj from Punjab. Along with him, his associate Subhash Chander was also arrested. After that both of them were presented in the court. And now Anuj committed suicide in custody. According to Crime Branch sources, Anuj made a noose by opening the layer of bed carpet and hanged himself. After the incident, Anuj was taken to St. George Hospital, where after examination the doctor declared him dead.
