Sakshi was born in Hariyana’s farmer family and serves in the . As per The New Indian Express, her father, Manoj, used to visit Bhiwani Boxing Club after travelling 80 kilometres daily to ensure that Sakshi received quality training.
Her family’s faith in Sakshi remained unshaken when shoulder injuries created a hindrance in her career, and she missed the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
After four years, Sakshi got an opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages, entering the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
