In her letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan, she said, “I tender my resignation from the membership of the Rajya Sabha, which may please be accepted with immediate effect.” The resignation comes days before the start of the monsoon session of Parliament, which is scheduled to begin on July 20. Let us inform that earlier, three Trinamool MPs – Sukhendu Shekhar Rai, Sushmita Dev and Prakash Chik Barik had resigned from their Rajya Sabha seats and joined BJP.
