ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier A: A historic match was witnessed in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier-A tournament. In this match, Rwanda team defeated Ivory Coast team by a huge margin of 271 runs. This is the third biggest win in T20 international cricket. In this match, Hamza Khan of Rwanda played a memorable inning in the history of T20 International cricket. He scored more than 150 runs alone.
Hamza Khan played a historic innings
Rwanda’s Hamza Khan completed his first T20 century by scoring an unbeaten 164 runs in just 65 balls against Ivory Coast in this match and broke many records. This innings of Hamza Khan included 9 fours and 15 sixes. He scored these runs at a strike rate of 252.30. Thanks to this brilliant performance, Rwanda made a huge score of 288 runs by losing only 2 wickets in 20 overs, which was recorded as the seventh highest score in Men’s T20 International.
This inning played by Hamza Khan is the second biggest innings of T20 International cricket. Only Australia’s Aaron Finch has the record of 172 runs ahead of him. By hitting 15 sixes in an innings, he made the joint record of fourth highest number of sixes in a T20I innings. Hamza Khan completely dominated this innings of Rwanda. From powerplay to death overs, he thrashed the opposition bowlers.
Ivory Coast could score only 17 runs
In response to this big target, the Ivory Coast team collapsed miserably. The entire team was all out for just 17 runs, which is the joint fifth lowest score in T20I history. Due to which the Rwandan team won the match by 271 runs. During this innings of Ivory Coast, no player could cross the 5-run mark.
