Which electoral ground is Nitish Kumar preparing with W factor in Bihar?

Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar at the end of 2025, where Nitish Kumar’s party, which is trying to return to power, has decided to play a big bet. Nitish Kumar’s party is again focusing on empowering women. It is being said that in the next one year, Nitish’s party can implement different schemes for women.

Schemes like Ladli Bahin are also included in these schemes. Nitish will start with the Mahila Samvad Yatra, which is proposed from December 15. Nitish will talk to women during his visit and then prepare a roadmap of schemes.

Preparation to bring a scheme like Ladli Bahin

Nitish government is preparing to bring a scheme like Ladli Bahin in Bihar. There is a lot of debate going on in Patna regarding this. Initially, under the scheme, it can be announced to give Rs 1000 per month to every woman between the age of 18 to 50 years.

However, it is being said that first Nitish government can take some major decision related to self-help groups. After coming to power in Bihar in 2015, Nitish government had established self-help groups. According to the figures of 2020, the number of this group in entire Bihar is around 11 lakh.

A group consists of 10 women. Nitish’s government had arranged for a loan to promote the group. Now it is being said that the government can waive off the loan, which will directly benefit these women.

Women regained power in 3 states

Power has returned in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Women played a major role in the return of the government in all three states. Before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP government started the Ladli Bahin Yojana. Here the party got a huge advantage and the government was formed again with full majority.

BJP implemented the same formula as in Madhya Pradesh in Maharashtra. Here too there was NDA government. Within 5 months the scheme reduced anti-incumbency against the government. NDA, which was halved in the Lok Sabha elections of Maharashtra, made a strong comeback in the assembly elections.

In Jharkhand too, women voters returned to power. Here the women strongly supported the India alliance led by Hemant Soren, which directly benefited India.

Under the leadership of Hemant, India made a stronger comeback than last time.

Women are ahead in voting compared to men

In Bihar, there are more male voters than women in terms of numbers, but women are far ahead of male voters in voting. During the recent Lok Sabha elections, about 56 percent voting took place in Bihar, which included 53 percent voting by men and 59 percent voting by women.

In the 2020 assembly elections, a total of 57.05 percent voting took place in Bihar, in which the voting percentage of women was 59.7 percent. 54.6 percent male voters cast their votes in this election.

Even in the elections of 2015 and 2010, women voters voted more than men. In 2010, 2015 and 2020, governments were formed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

Before the 2010 assembly elections, Nitish Kumar had announced to implement 50 percent reservation for women in Bihar Police and teacher recruitment. In this election, Nitish Kumar alliance won 205 out of 243 seats.
