In Chandigarh on Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also strongly attacked the Akali Dal while giving appointment letters to the youth at Municipal Bhawan. Taking the name of Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, he has made many allegations against him and his ancestors. He said that no one can erase the stigma that has been placed on the Majithia family in Punjab. He attacked by saying that due to the greed of Bikram Majithia’s ancestors, the stigma of being a horse thief was on the forehead of the Sikhs, hence they do not even deserve forgiveness.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while targeting Akali Dal, said that this party is now in bad shape in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann said that the situation has become such that even the voices of Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia and Harsimrat Badal do not match with each other. He asked Bikram Majithia that where did the Arabian horses go? The Chief Minister said that if they did not reply by December 5, he would himself come to the media and tell.
Bhagwant Mann narrated the story of 1957
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that after Jawaharlal Nehru became the Prime Minister in 1957, a delegation had gone on a tour to the Arab country. Among the ancestors of Bikram Singh Majithia, the then Deputy Defense Minister Surjit Singh Majithia was also there. He said that a king of an Arab country had gifted magnificent horses of Arabian breed to the Indian Army as a gift. These horses were to be sent to Meerut for training, where animals included in the army are trained. After two months, when the Arabian king wanted to know about the condition of those horses, he came to know that they had never reached Meerut. After this Raje expressed his displeasure to Nehru.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann told that after this incident, Nehru ji immediately took the resignation of Surjit Singh Majithia. The Chief Minister said- This incident is very unfortunate. It is very sad that even today when a Dastardhari Sikh goes to the training center in Meerut, he is looked at from the perspective of a horse thief. Bhagwant Singh Mann targeted him by saying that the British had awarded the title of Sir to the Majithia family, which had ruined the British rule.
The Chief Minister also attacked by saying that from the day of Jallianwala Bagh massacre on April 13, 1919 till the next day, the Majithia family served food to General Dyer. Bhagwant Singh Mann said- History can never be erased, the characters of Majithia’s ancestors are recorded in the pages of history.
