In Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, a woman was killed by her in-laws because she did not have a child after marriage. The deceased woman did not have a child even after 5 years of marriage. Angered by this, the in-laws shot the woman dead. To ensure that the murder is not revealed, the woman’s in-laws filed a case against other people of the village in a land dispute.
On receiving information about the murder, the police reached the spot and sent the woman’s body for postmortem. Investigation of the case began. The police revealed that the woman was not murdered due to any enmity but because she did not have a child after marriage, her sister-in-law, brother-in-law and elder brother-in-law killed her. The police have arrested all three and sent them to jail. The police have also recovered the pistol from the accused, which was used to murder the woman.

Police disclosed
While revealing the murder case, the SP said that on June 16, a woman named Maya was murdered in village Bhojrajpur of Gunnaur police station. The woman was shot dead by her family members as she did not have a child and other people of the village were named in the land dispute case. The police station has arrested the accused woman’s brother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and recovered the pistol used in the murder.
