There was an uproar at a wedding ceremony organized in a village late on Thursday night when the groom’s father reached the pavilion in Muslim attire. Seeing the Muslim appearance, discussion started and the bride’s side refused to agree.
The commotion continued till morning. Police also reached the spot.
During interrogation, the groom’s father told that he has accepted Islam mentally, but has not accepted it socially. The ceremony of pheras was completed at 10 am on Friday. In the marriage ceremony, the pheras ritual started late at 3 o’clock in the night and the groom’s father was called. When the groom’s father reached the pavilion, a discussion started because the groom’s father’s attire was like a Muslim.
Angered by seeing the appearance of the groom’s father, the girl’s side stopped the ceremony of rounds and a commotion started. After this the people from the girl’s side went to their home from the pavilion. On the other hand, the groom’s side also reached the girl’s house and tried to convince, but things could not work out. As the uproar increased, the police also reached the village in the morning. Here the police listened to both the parties and later both the parties agreed to the marriage.
The ceremony of pheras was completed at 10 o’clock. The villagers told that the groom’s father has been dressed as a Muslim for a long time and also goes to the mosque. The villagers told that the bride and groom were acquaintances and after the consent of both, the relatives had fixed the marriage. Police Station Head Avneet Mann told that there was a disagreement after seeing the groom’s father’s beard growing. Later their marriage ended peacefully. No party has complained.
