This story started in the year 2013, when in the month of November, Aman Kumar and Gunjan Kumari got married as an arranged marriage. Gunjan’s maternal uncle had arranged this relationship. At the time of marriage, Gunjan was only Intermediate (12th) pass and she passed in first division.

Aman Kumar said, ‘I was married to Gunjan Kumari in 2013. This marriage was arranged by his maternal uncle. At the time of marriage she had passed intermediate. Due to good marks he expressed his desire to study further. So I helped him continue his studies. My father also supported him in this.

According to Aman, he first got Gunjan done her graduation (BA) and when Gunjan expressed her desire to do B.Ed, he fully supported her in that too. She says that the family not only helped her in her studies but also helped her in getting a beautician course done so that there would be financial security in the future.

Fulfilled every wish of Gunjan, sold ancestral land for studies

Aman Kumar says that he and his family raised Gunjan not as a daughter-in-law but as a daughter. Aman’s parents died in the year 2018, after which Gunjan insisted on leaving the village and living in the city.

Aman made allegations and said, ‘Meanwhile, our parents died in 2018. After the death of her parents, Gunjan said that she would no longer live in the village. If we want to study then stay with us in Hajipur. We kept doing whatever he said. When necessary, we also sold our share of ancestral land. I also made her take a course in beautician, so that if anything happens to me, she can take care of the child. We never even had any fights.
