There is a feature on the instant messaging platform that will save you from the displeasure of parents and girlfriend-boyfriend. Meta has released the ‘Pin Message’ feature. Through this, you can pin important messages at the top of any contact’s chat. When you open that person’s chat, only the pinned message will be visible at the top. This means you will remember everyone’s important messages.
If you also want to take advantage of this feature, then its process is quite simple. You can keep any message pinned for a maximum of 30 days. whatsapp Any message can be pinned in both chat and group. This feature works exactly like pinning a chat. Simply in this the message is pinned inside the chat.

Pin a Message: Pin a message like this
To pin a message in chat, follow these steps-
- Android: Tap and hold on the message. Now go to More Options with three dots. Select Pin and choose how long you want the message to be pinned (e.g. 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) and then tap Pin.
- iPhone: Tap and hold on the message. Tap on More options and tap on Pin. Select the timing for how long you want to pin the message, such as 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
- Web and Desktop: Go to the message you want to pin and click on the menu option. Then select Pin Message and select the timing option like 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. After this click on Pin.
The pinned message will remain visible as a banner at the top of the chat until the pin is removed from the message.
Unpin Message: Unpin message like this
To remove PIN from message, follow this method-
- Android: Tap and hold on the message. Now tap on Unpin and then tap on Unpin.
- iPhone: Tap and hold on the message. Go to More options and tap Unpin. After this tap on Unpin again.
- Web and Desktop: View the message from which you want to remove the PIN. Click on the menu option and select Unpin. After this again select Unpin.
You can remove the PIN from the message whenever you want. If the PIN is not removed from a message, the PIN will be removed automatically at the selected timing.
