Surjewala said, this newspaper was established by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru during the battle of Jung-e-Azadi in the year 1937. Its owner became a company AJL. Whose pioneers were Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Tandon, Kidwai and other freedom fighters. This newspaper has been raising the voice of freedom fighters, raising the voice of the freedom movement. Surjewala said that what is not for not for profit company, Young India Limited can neither pay anyone, do not give dividend, no profit shares, can sell property nor sell its shares. Now in 2012, a complaint was filed against the Congress party by Subrahmanyam Swamy in the Election Commission, which asked why a loan of Rs 90 crore was given?

This request is also rejected by the ED in August 2015.
