The Hindu side has got another big achievement in the Gyanvapi case. Varanasi District Court has ordered the Hindu side to worship inside the basement located in the mosque premises. The court said that regular worship can be done here. At the same time, only the priests of Kashi Vishwanath will perform the puja in the basement. In fact, Somnath Vyas’s family used to perform puja in the basement till 1993, but the then state government had stopped the puja there by giving a verbal order.
It is said that before the basement was closed, Vyas ji’s family used to worship there. According to Shailendra Pathak, grandson of Somnath Vyas, the Vyas family has been associated with Kashi Vishwanath since the year 1551 and has been worshiping there. But in 1992, after the demolition of Babri Masjid in Uttar Pradesh, the state government there issued a verbal order banning the construction of the southern basement of Vyas ji. In the petition he filed recently, he had directly demanded worship.

Family chart started from 1551
If we look at Vyas ji’s family, the family chart starts from the year 1551 with Shatanand Vyas. After this, Sukhdev Vyas became its head in 1669 and he also carried forward the tradition of worship. After Sukhdev, Shivnath, Vishwanath, Shambhunath, Rukmani Devi, Mahadev Vyas, Kalika Vyas, Lakshmi Vyas, Raghunandan Vyas, Baijnath Vyas and then his daughter Rajkumari remained the eldest members of the Vyas family.
Where does Vyas family live?
