What is Nano Urea?
Nano Urea is a liquid nitrogen fertilizer, which is made with the help of nanotechnology. It contains very small particles (Nano Particles) of nitrogen. They are so small that they easily enter through the leaves of plants. Normal urea is added to the soil, while nano urea is sprayed on the leaves of plants.
What is nanotechnology?
‘Nano’ means very small size. A nanometer is one billionth (1/1,000,000,000) of a meter. When a substance is prepared on such a small scale, its quality can change. Nano urea also works on the same principle.
What is the difference between ordinary urea and nano urea?

How does Nano Urea work?
When farmers spray nano urea on the leaves, its small particles enter the plant through the small pores (stomata) and surface of the leaves. After this the plant uses nitrogen as per requirement, due to which-

Why are farmers adopting nano urea?
1. Use in small quantities: Only small quantity of nano urea can be sprayed.
