The Chief Minister held a meeting with investors at the Global City Project Site in Gurugram on Friday. Saini said that about 16 lakh people are expected to benefit from the project. On completion, it will create about five lakh employment opportunities.

What is Global City Project?

The project is spread over 1,000 acres. It provides for mixed use land, which includes areas for residential, commercial, hospitality and educational institutions only. He informed that the first phase of this project being developed according to global standards will be completed by the end of next year. In the first phase of the project, Rs 940 crore is being spent on 587 acres.
The Chief Minister said that a reservoir of 35 crore liters of capacity will be built on 18 acres to ensure reliable water supply for the city. This reservoir will fulfill both functional and beauty purposes. This will act as a major water storage facility and will also increase the attraction of the city.

These facilities will be equipped

This city has been planned especially keeping in mind the walk-to-work concept and luxury lifestyle. Here residential (home to live), commercial (offices and shops), and plotted development will be available. In residential areas, modular kitchens, home automation, large balcony apartments, swimming pools, gyms, parks and all modern facilities will be available for children. At the same time, commercial space will have excellent infrastructure for office and retail outlets.
